Consistent with that knowledge and its goal of promoting a culture of health and wellness, Montefiore provides a lactation-friendly environment and supports mothers who continue to breastfeed after returning to work from maternity leave. The Medical Center’s policy adheres to Section 7 of the Fair Labor Standards Act, as amended by The Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act of 2010.

To make breastfeeding an easier option upon your return to work, Associate Lactation Suites are located at the Moses Campus (Hoffheimer 6), the Wakefield Campus (first floor of the Carpenter Avenue building) and the Einstein Campus (Room 652A).
